Description
MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) meals - Case of 10 meals, about 818 calories each.
EverSafe Brand MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) feature 10 complete meals that will last and last
until you need them. Made by government contractor Wornick Foods, these
MRE meals have been packaged for civilians using military grade
components.
In the event of a natural disaster such as an earthquake, or a nuclear
disaster or terror attack, ready.gov recommends that all citizens
maintain at a minimum a three-day supply of non-perishable food. "You
may need to survive on your own after an emergency. This means having
your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last
for at least three days. Local officials and relief workers will be on
the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone immediately.
You could get help in hours, or it might take days or weeks."
MREs
are the perfect answer to emergency preparedness. They last years, take
up little space, are lightweight, can be eaten cold or heated (heater
included), and provide the calories needed to sustain life.
Do
not wait for an emergency or disaster to prepare - by then it will be
too late. Make preparations now to protect yourself and your family. Not
only is it wise to have emergency MREs at home, but a large number of
hours are spent at work and having a case of meals ready to eat at the
office or in your vehicle may also save lives.
