Description
MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) meals - Case of 12 meals, about 1,180 calories each.
These MREs are manufactured by Ameriqual Group and consist of a main entrée, dessert, snacks, beverage powder, and
condiments - creating the most complete disaster preparedness food available.
Meals include a variety of flavors of entrées, desserts, and snacks. The
selection may include: Entree: beef, chicken, or pasta; desserts:
cookies, pound cake, brownie; Snack: fruit bar, crackers, cheese spread,
raisins, peanuts, or pretzels. The MRE accessory pack includes beverage
mix, MRE heater, condiments, wet napkin, and a spoon. These are not
military issue MREs- they are civilian versions of the complete meals
made by the same contractor. Water-activated heater is included. Fresh, and current production.
Each meal
averages 1,180 calories vital to sustain life. During times of stress the body may require more calories than usual.
In the event of a natural disaster such as an earthquake, or a nuclear
disaster or terror attack, ready.gov recommends that all citizens
maintain at a minimum a three-day supply of non-perishable food. "You
may need to survive on your own after an emergency. This means having
your own food, water, and other supplies in sufficient quantity to last
for at least three days. Local officials and relief workers will be on
the scene after a disaster, but they cannot reach everyone immediately.
You could get help in hours, or it might take days or weeks."
MREs
are the perfect answer to emergency preparedness. They last years, take
up little space, are lightweight, can be eaten cold or heated (heater
included), and provide the calories needed to sustain life.
Do
not wait for an emergency or disaster to prepare - by then it will be
too late. Make preparations now to protect yourself and your family. Not
only is it wise to have emergency MREs at home, but a large number of
hours are spent at work and having a case of meals ready to eat at the
office or in your vehicle may also save lives.
